The many caves of Fingal and the Hunterian Museum

Back in May I wrote a short article for the Hunterian’s blog to share the history of the Cave of Fingal, which is undoubtedly one of the most interesting and historical sites in Scotland. The article is now online at the Hunterian’s website and you can find it by clicking here.

The Many Caves of Fingal

Over the past few months, I have been interning at the Hunterian Museum in a project co-supervised with the Special Collections of University of Glasgow . The main aim of the internship was to research material for an upcoming exhibition on early Scottish art, literature and tourism.

During this time, I had the opportunity to study closely Scotland’s past and get my hands on some beautiful and rare books, manuscripts and ephemera currently held at the Special Collections of University of Glasgow. I enjoyed working in such an inspiring environment and learned many new things under the supervision of experienced staff from both the Hunterian and Special Collections .
